Inspiring Growth

Doodle 3

Most pupils will sail through school without needing any outside extra support. However, some will find the education system confusing and challenging. The demands that mainstream education places on these pupils is overwhelming and demotivating.  Such pupils need an alternative approach: one that’s relevant, varied, engaging, and above all,
fun.

That’s where I come in.

What I do..

I offer an alternative approach to tutoring through multi-sensory, creative, game-based learning systems which provide innovative ways to bolster and develop self-confidence.

My lessons are varied and fun with humour and light moments to establish a positive rapport and motivate pupils to complete tasks whilst experiencing success and positive praise.

I am qualified to tutor up to Year 6 (non SEN) and offer my specialist tutoring sessions (SEN) for pupils of any age, including young adults.

My Alternative Approach aims to..

Doodle 1

Reignite interest in learning

Without positive self-esteem and a desire to learn, no child is ever going to be able to achieve their potential, and if the subject material and approach don’t excite them, they won’t engage with the learning. By tailoring each child's lesson plan to what excites them, and delivering lessons that align with their preferred ways of learning, they don't just engage, they absorb themselves in what they're learning, and they have fun doing it!

Boost self-esteem and motivation

Growth and success are achieved through positive relationships based on trust. Achievements should be celebrated and acknowledged, helping to encourage motivation for further learning. In my teaching, I strive to connect with my pupils through their interests, making sure my lessons are varied and full of humour, encouraging them to reach their full potential.

"Even though E has only had two sessions with you, she feels so supported and listened to and that finally someone outside of our family unit understands how she's been feeling, when she got in the car yesterday the first thing she said was, 'I can't wait to see Annie next week!"
